Insulator Types Available For Power Cable

We all have heard about resistance often used by the power cable manufacturers while making power cables and conductor materials. Low frequency signals and high frequency signal both exist in the center of conductor and surface of conductors respectively. High signal frequency is focused in small area while other portion exists with low frequency signals. Amplification of effective resistance in the cables is very important. These types of frequencies face many types of losses so we must have to increase the insulation materials while making such types of products. If frequency lies around 20 kHz then there may happened some skin effects which are not good for anyone.

By name of insulators we can understand that that it is a material which put a little bit of resistance during the flow of current in the material. Electric current flowing through the conducting material can cause a leakage several times. It is necessary to control this leakage and insulators in the power cable. This will resist the electric current and then it can flow by preventing from contacting to the surface of conductors. Several environments threats can cause due to the leakage of current from the wires like water and heat.

So safety is the first treatment we can take to avoid such types of threats and accidents. Insulation can be a real treatment for the leakage of currents so the cable of the conducting material must have to provide real insulating technique. There are many different types of insulating materials are present in the market. Some of them are as follows like rubber, plastic, polymers of fluorine group like Fluoropolymer, etc. Electric properties of the conducting materials depend upon the insulation and it can be influenced by power cable manufacturers with some other significant techniques. High frequency cable needs PE while other needs some rubber or polymer insulations.
